The Hunter in Werewolf
When the Hunter dies, they take someone down with them.
- Sleeps all night
- Recommended from 7 players
- Also called: Vigilante (similar in some Mafia setups)
How the Hunter works
The Hunter sleeps at night like a villager. The moment the Hunter is eliminated, by the wolves or by the vote, they immediately choose another player to shoot, who also dies.
The Hunter's threat protects them: wolves think twice before killing a player who might shoot back.
How to play the Hunter
- Keep a short list of your top suspects so you're ready when you die.
- If the village is about to vote you out, revealing as Hunter can make them reconsider, or at least make your shot count.
- Don't shoot in anger at whoever voted you out. Shoot the player your evidence points at.
Playing against the Hunter
- As a wolf, avoid killing a suspected Hunter at night. Let the village vote them out and hope they shoot a villager.
The most common mistake
Revenge shots. The Hunter's shot is the village's most reliable kill; spend it on your best read.
